Carnival - Part II

Welp, so this past week was Carnival, it was weird having it in the first week in March because last year it was the first weekend of February. Basically all the people do is all the adults drink until they don't remember the weekend and the kids throw water, water balloons, and put paint on their hands and play with their friends. The last day of carnival was Tuesday so we had to be back before 7:30pm. We decided to have an Intercambio that day with Elder Bullock, hes from Bingham, and Elder Curichimba from Iquitos Perú. About half way through the day some kids ran up to us and got Elder Bullocks fave covered with paint while I ran. Then later in the day, as we were going to the day a bunch of jóvenes were in the back of a truck throwing water and saw and got down of the truck and covered Elder Bullock with paint. I just kind of ran away haha. But thats Carnival for you.

Then Thursday we decided to have another intercambio with the Elders from Ancon and it went well. After Elder Villanueva gets home and just goes and lays in bed. He said he didn't feel good and wasn't going to be able to leave the house. Turns out he had a fever of 101 to 104 degrees for about 4 hours and he finally got to rest and we didn't leave for the rest of the day. I was worrying myself thinking it was Dengue fever but Hermana Suarez said because he had congestion, it wasn't Dengue.

Now to the miracle of the week...

So Wednesday the day after Carnival, as you could imagine, it was a pretty slow day. Almost every thing fell but we happened to find a diamond in the rough. We were contacting and we contacted a door and out comes an older lady and I thought it was going to he another old catholic telling us to get out of here.  She was open and listened to us. We were explaining the Gospel of Jesus Christ, faith and repentance and she tells us that she is missing the part of being baptized. Following the example of Jesus Christ. Both of our minds knew this person was ready and prepared by the Lord. Saying goodbye she told us dhe was ready to gp to church to be prepared and be baptized.

As we were leaving she tells us that the Lord told her that He would send 2 messengers or unknown people with a message that she couldn't deny.... our minds exploded. She ended up coming to church and accepting to be baptized at the end of March!!!!! I testify that miracles happen and it depends on our faith and desire to serve others!!!

Misa all you guys
