Time For A Passport

Keaton went and applied for a passport today.

December seems so far away, but it will be here before we know it.  

We are trying to get some mission "to-do" items done before it is crunch time.

He's An Elder

Keaton was ordained to the office of an Elder today.

Congratulations, Keaton!

It was so nice to have everyone there to support him.

We are so proud of him!

We had lunch at our house after to celebrate.  

We made homemade French fries and burgers!

They were pretty good!  One batch got away from us and the fries ended up being crispy critters.

We spent the afternoon outside -  in the shade.

It has been so hot lately!

We blew bubbles,

loved on Carson,

and enjoyed visiting with each other!

This little guy is the best!

The Call

We thought that Keaton might be receiving his mission call today.  Pretty soon, he texted everyone with the good news!  His mission call was ready to be viewed. We texted our friends and family and invited them to come hear Keaton open his call this evening.

It was such a beautiful night!  Everything was perfect!

A bunch of Keaton's friends showed up, too!

Then it was time . . .

Keaton welcomed us and asked Hayden to offer an opening prayer.

Keaton really wanted to serve a foreign mission in the Spanish language.  

I was hoping his call would be where he wanted.  I just kept reminding him that it didn't matter where he was going, he needed to remember that it was where he was supposed to be.

Here we go . . .

I knew as soon as I saw the big smile on his face that he was pleased!

Keaton will be serving in the Ecuador Guayaquil West Mission in the Spanish language!  

Keaton will begin his home MTC training on December 26, 2023.  He will then report to the Provo MTC on January 3, 2024!

Keaton's beginning date works out perfectly so I can be here with him during his home MTC experience.  I was really worried about having to take time off work.  Keaton will be doing his home MTC training over winter break, so I will not have to take any time off work.

We are so excited for Keaton!  

He is going to be a great missionary!

We are so grateful to have the opportunity of having another missionary!

I know Heavenly Father hears and answers prayers!

Many were answered tonight.

It was such a wonderful evening!
